Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekend run at Favell Road, starting and finishing at the heritage-listed Byng Church, where 56 members in attendance had a choice of 3km, 5.8km. 8.1km and 11.2km distances over a gravelly, mountainous route. The first three finishers for each distance are as follows:

11.2km – Noel Annett (55:02), Ursula Wilson (55:29), and Meg Reeves (55:54). 8.1km – Ella Lamrock (47:24), James Littlejohn (48:41), and John Moss (51:32). 5.8km – Amber Rich (26:04), Gary Taylor (31:38), and Steven Wensley (34:55). 3km – (Lachlan Ross (14:42), Michael Sharp (18:55) and Craig Penrose (23:47). Congratulations to all who participated, especially those who took on the longer courses.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 2.9k handicap event saw 66 competitors take part in pleasant conditions. The fastest men were Noah Lamrock (11:31), Brad Simmons (11:33) and Adam Reeves (11:39). The fastest ladies were Liz Simpson (11:21), Ella Lamrock (11:56) and Leanne Corcoran (12:14). Fastest lap of the 958m circuit was clocked by Liz Simpson at 3:43. PBs were recorded by Ella Lamrock (7s), Willow Molloy (26s) and Lyndal Molloy (27s). Blake Gleeson was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

This Sunday sees the club at Gosling Creek, where members will have a choice of an undulating 2.3km, 4.6km or 9.6km course. This event will commence at 9am. Alternatively, Sunday is also the day of the Bathurst RSL 10k and Half Marathon, an event which traditionally sees much support from our club.
