Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekend run at Gosling Creek. 69 members in attendance had a choice of 2.3km, 4.6km. and 9.6km distances over pleasant, undulating terrain. The first three finishers for each distance are as follows:

9.6k – Leanne Corcoran (42:57), Noel Annett (43:35), and Tim Edmonstone (47:12). 4.6km – Iain McLean (20:06), Hugh Daintith (22:12), and Stephen Martin (22:57). 2.3km – Noah Lamrock (10:35), Lily Craig (10:47) and Brooke Martin (10:57). Congratulations to all who participated, Melissa Johnston was declared the winner.

In addition to this, last Sunday, members were out in force at the Bathurst RSL 10k and Half Marathon. The club wishes to acknowledge the following performances.

10km – Mitch Williamson (34:36) (overall winner), Liz Simpson (40:46) (2nd Female), Nicole Williamson (40:49) (3rd female), Stewie Vidler (51:51), John Betts (52:26), Fiona Montgomerie (72:57), Teish Vidler (73:43), and Sue Betts (80:45).

Half Marathon – Nathan Sutherland (1:17), Jared Sullivan (1:23), Mike Cooper (1:40), Gareth Thomas (1:44), Richard Eggleston (2:01) and Wayne Sunderland (2:04). Congratulations to all who participated, you did our club proud. Apologies if anyone was missed.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 2.9k handicap event saw 71 competitors take part in pleasant conditions. The fastest men were Rikky Bangert (10:55), Thomas Hogben (11:42), and Noah Lamrock (11:48). The fastest ladies were Ella Lamrock (12:33), Ursula Wilson (12:45) and Kelly Gleeson (13:45). Fastest lap of the 958m circuit was clocked by Rikky Bangert at 3:27. PBs were recorded by Oliver Chandler-Sullivan (19s), Greg Shapter (9s), Max MacLean (44s), Edward MacLean (21s), Oliver Molloy (4s). Rikky Bangert was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

This Sunday sees the club at Elephant Park, where members will have a choice of 1-5 laps of our 1.6km course. This event will commence at 9am, and as its Mother’s Day members are encouraged to wear pink.
