Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekly Sunday Morning Run at Stagecoach Road, where 52 members had the choice of 2km, 3km, 5km or 8.5km  runs on a fairly hilly course. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:

2k – Men: Mike Cooper (12:01) and Michael Quinlan (21:06)). Women: Denise Quinlan (21:05).

3k – Men: John Hannan (25:25) and David Craig (28:37). Women: Tanya Connolly (17:54) and Renai McArdle (25:16).

5k – Men: Jack Daintith (23:32), Alistair Merrifield (23:48) and Noah Lamrock (24:48). Women: Ella Lamrock (25:33), Jade Lowden (29:11) and Dani Syme (29:27).

8.5k – Men: Iain McLean (38:58), David Ross (39:23) and Noel Annett (40:34). Women: Leanne Billington (50:58), Jane Fairgrieve (53:02) and Pam Fullgrabe (53:53).

Congratulations to all who participated, David Williamson was declared the winner.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 3 lap handicap event saw 52 competitors take part in pleasant conditions. The fastest men were Mitch Williamson (10:03), Connor Whiteley (10:03) and Rikky Bangert (10:36). The fastest ladies were Leanne Corcoran (12:02), Ella Lamrock (12:14) and Ursula Wilson (12:26). Fastest lap of the Elephant Park circuit was clocked by Mitch Williamson and Connor Whiteley at 3:13. A PBs was achieved by Logan Whiteley (5s), and Hugh Daintith (6s). Mitchell Williamson was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

Externally, long term club member John West took part in the NSW Athletics Short Walks Championships at the Penrith Regatta Centre, where for the 65 years age bracket he finished 2nd in the 5km walk, with a pleasing time of 33:17.
This Sunday sees the club back at Gosling Creek, where members will have a choice of 2.3km, 4.6km, or 9.6km on a hilly course taking in the pleasant views of Gosling Creek Reserve and Bargwanna Road. This event will commence at 9am. Please note that for winter the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start.
