“Burrawang” – Basil and Jean Baldwin

Basil and Jean Baldwin have kindly invited the ORC to their property on the 19 March (9am) at 50 Calvert Lane, Forest Reefs. There is a range of grass and gravel surfaces with NO dogs please.

Fourjay Farms hazelnut products will also be on sale.  All proceeds will go to the James Sheahan Catholic High School project supporting a primary school in Sri Lanka.

A self-guided farm walk, especially for the walkers
A tour of the orchard, propagation area and hazelnut processing shed
An orienteering maze for the young and the young at heart

There will be toilets and carparking available.

 

Location: 19 km south of Orange

Directions: From Orange, travel south down Peisley Street to Forest Road, cross the Huntley Road intersection traffic lights.  Go past the Orange Base Hospital on the left.  Continue south on Forest Road past the Cadia Road intersection.

Travel for approximately 10km towards Spring Terrace.  Turn right just before Spring Terrace onto Orchard Road, signposted to Forest Reefs.  Take the first turn to the left from Orchard Road into Forest Reefs Road.

Follow the Forest Reefs Road about 8km to Forest Reefs; the Tavern is on your left.  Go across the intersection, continuing in a southerly direction on the Tallwood Road.  Travel about 1km to the first intersection and turn left into North Lane, a gravel road.  Go about 500m and turn right up the hill into Calvert Lane.  The gateway is the first on the left.  There will be a sign at the gate.
