The Pinnacle


Public access graveled roads and fire trails with virtually nil traffic flow. The track meanders through radiata pine plantations in a hilly to steep terrain. Some sections of the course are subject to uneven and rough terrain. Caution is advised and care should be taken.

Location: 12.5 km from Orange CBD on Main Central Road, off Pinnacle Road.

From Orange CBD travel west on Summer Street, turn left at the main roundabout into Woodward Road. Travel 1km and turn right onto Racecourse Road. Follow Racecourse Road onto Pinnacle Road travelling southwest past Towac Park Racecourse. Travel 8.4km passing Brangayne of Orange, Word of Mouth and Ross Hill Wines. Turn left into and park at the Towac Pinnacle Picnic Ground at Main Central Road. Short 200m walk to start line on Main Central Road. Once a popular picnic place the picnic ground features bluestone picnic shelters, toilets and barbeques set amoungst tall shady ghost gums.
