Fourth Crossing is a challenging yet rewarding adventure. Starting at the Fourth Crossing picnic area, the run head west on the single trail.
Winding through the picturesque walking trail you soon pop out onto the 4WD fire trail that runs along the river.
Keep an eye out for Wombats, Wallabies and maybe even a Platypus in the river.
Follow this up the first hill of the day and down again towards the junction at a river crossing, where the course stays right and doesn’t cross the river.
Just ahead the track veers right, off the main trail and back onto a single trail to wind its way up the second hill of the day (slightly higher…).
This will give amazing views across the valley from close to 1000m above sea level.
The course then starts to descend down the other side and through a few creeks crossings before hitting the 4WD fire trail.
You follow this back towards to river and you will soon head back on the single trail you started on to get back to the finish at the Picnic area.
