The Kinross Trail lops in and around the Kinross State Forest. The start is at the MTB car park on Bulgas Road as you enter the forest. From here you head north on the gravel road and, depending on the day and race director, either continue on this and around the edge of the pine forest or turn right and enter the single trail. Both ways have a climb up the hill and will eventually arrive at Kinross lane before heading off to the left towards Mt Bulgas. You follow the gravel road around the edge of the forest, with a little up and down to keep you interested. This continues as the course twist and turns and heads back west towards the start. The undulation continues and with approx. 1.5kms to go the track turns right on a fire trail into the forest for 400 meters and then a sharp left into a single trail through the forest. This is the final 1km and it is the ‘reward’ for the past 11 odd kms. This single trail flows down towards the finish line where you pop out at the MTB car park.
