Last Sunday, 41 members braved the cold to run one or several loops around Jack Brabham.
The leading club members in each distance were:
1.75km – Female – Denise Quinlan 17:24.
Male – Mike Cooper 8:52, Gary Taylor 12:43, John Hannan 14:40.
3.5km – Female – Leanne Corcoran 16:08, Claire Gates 20:26, Samantha Pluymers 20:38.
Male – Craig Penrose 22:50, Trevor Jones 35:18.
5.25km – Female – Nicole Williamson 27:23, Judy Tarleton 42:05, Glenys Rosser 45:44.
Male – Brett Rosser 24:53, Eddie Feeney 25:13, Richard Hogg 29:01.
7km – Female – Kinisha Roweth 37:01, Rhonda Jones 48:50, Karren Skelton 56:15.
Male – Iain Mclean 28:04, Brad Simmons 32:51, Gareth Thomas 36:01.
8.75km – Female – Alison Spurway 52:03.
Male – Mark Thomas 38:09, Bill Fairgrieve 56:36, Andrew Mcardle 1:12:04.
10.5km – Female – Kim Jarvis 1:09:02, Jane Fairgrieve 1:09:03.
Male – Zac Rosser 41:23, Jack Daintith 42:49, Daryl Roweth 50:50.
With the rain turning on and off all afternoon, 46 members took to Elephant Park to run or walk around the track completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Hadden Bennett 10:00, Jack Daintith 10:25 and Peter Finlay 10:29. Completing the top three ladies were Nicola Blore 12:27, Courtney Hayes 13:20 and Angela Sieburn 14:38.
Personal bests were recorded this week by Hadden Bennett 1s, Courtney Hayes 17s and Rhys Hill 17s.
Tomorrow’s run is at Spring Creek. The distances that will be on offer will be; 2.4km, 4.8km, 7.2km and 9.6km. Also putting out a reminder, that we are still operating under COVID-19 regulations. On Wednesday’s, timing begins at 4pm and will cease at 5:15pm. On Sunday’s, you must start between 8.30am and 9am. On both days still encouraging members to arrive, run and depart.

The safety guideline for this week is to be aware of and warn others of potentially dangerous animals on the course.
Race briefs/announcements/presentations are still cancelled on a Wednesday– this will instead be done via email and on the Facebook page. On Sunday’s we will now have a briefing at 8:30 just before the running begins.
