Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekly Sunday Morning Run at Gosling Creek, where 74 members had the choice of 2.3km, 4.6km, and 9.6km runs on a fairly hilly course. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:

2.3k – Men: Logan Whiteley (11:11), Blake Gleeson (11:18) and Nicholas Thomas (11:56). Women: Jade Lowden (11:55), Kerry Lindsay (13:16) and Rosie Corcoran (16:05).

4.6k – Men: Jackson Boucher (20:58), Barnaby Boucher (22:34) and Alistair Merrifield (23:27). Women: Ella Lamrock (22:37), Lily Craig (22:37) and Kelly Gleeson (25:08).

9.6k – Men: Iain McLean (39:45), Mitch Essex (41:55), and Brad Simmons (42:04). Women: Liz Simpson (43:25), Ursula Wilson (44:08) and Leanne Corcoran (44:35).

Congratulations to all who participated, Brian Rix was declared the winner.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 3 lap handicap event saw 34 competitors take part in bitterly cold and damp conditions. The fastest men were Rikky Bangert (10:32), Jack Daintith (11:47) and Lachlan Ross (11:54). The fastest ladies were Ella Lamrock (12:06), Ursula Wilson (12:32) and Leanne Billington (13:59). Fastest lap of the Elephant Park circuit was clocked by Rikky Bangert at 3:18. PBs was achieved by Logan Whiteley (9s), Kristen Macquet (3s) and Leanne Billington (41s). Edward Ashton was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

This Sunday sees the club back at Clergate Road, where members will have a choice of 3km, 5km and 10km taking in a challenging fire trail. The school will be holding a BBQ, so bring money. This event will commence at 9am. Please note that for winter the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start.
