43 dedicated members braved the Orange heatwave and the hills of Bargwanna Road on Sunday.

Leading the 3km was Amber Rich ahead of consistent challengers Ella Lamrock and Tanya Connolly.

Ella’s brother Noah brought home the mens 3km followed by Gary ‘1800’ Taylor and Jack Flemming. Jack was also the overall winner.

Rhianna Fitzpatrick on a visit home flew in the 5km followed by Michelle Whiteley and Kim Jarvis while Hugh Daintith beat brother Jack and Alistair Merrifield sporting a new hairstyle. Good to see Stew Vidler back amongst the 5km runners after a bit of a spring break. No doubt we’ll see him regularly now in preparation for the fast approaching Running Festival on 24 &25 February 2018.

On another tropical Wednesday evening 53 runners hit the Elephant Park track just before another downpour. Noticeable in new bright blue shirts promoting Collins Carpenter & Craig were John Connolly, Mike Cooper and of course David Craig. Let us know when you are next taking orders for these shirts Dave.  The boys new gear unfortunately didn’t hold off Brad Simmons, Adam Reeves and Noah Lamrock taking out the top 3 male placings. Nicole Williamson, Lily Craig and Leanne ‘RPM30’ Corcoran were the fastest 3 females home. Rosie Corcoran was the winner.

To start your Christmas festivities in style join us at Sunday’s run on Christmas Eve at Elephant Park. It is of course themed Christmas dress up– any excuse for our President Renai! We look forward to seeing flashing lights, santa hats, red and green ribbons and tinselled timing chips… or if its not too warm a Christmas sweater as modelled by Team Gibson and Team McClean at the Christmas Party.

Merry Christmas to all our members and their families. Have a relaxing New Year with a few kms thrown in. Thank you to Renai, the Committee and Michael and John for another great year and all the best to all members for the New Year.
