EDITORIAL REPORT FOR SATURDAY’s CWD June 5th, 2021

After tomorrow’s run at Endeavour Oval, we will be having a barbeque so please stick around for that if you can. 

Last Sunday, 58 members went out and back at Bargwanna road. Although it may have been a little chilly in the shade once you got moving, you certainly warmed up. 

The leading club members in each distance were:

Female – Nicola Blore 49:47, Ursula Wilson 52:38, Alicia Anlezark 53:37
Male – Jack Daintith 40:13, Peter Finlay 41:37, Luke Hockey 42:00

With a slightly warmer afternoon 71 members took to Elephant Park to run or walk around the track completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Jack Daintith 9:57, Peter Finlay 10:11 and Iain Mclean 10:46. Completing the top three ladies were Nicola Blore 12:13, Leanne Corcoran 12:13 and Charlotte Meiring 13:24.

Personal bests were recorded this week by Freddie Farquharson 1m3s, Edward Farquharson 1m4s, Maree Moss 11s, Charlotte Meiring 12s, Nicola Blore 6s, Jon Sieburn 35s, Jason Bowkett 2m21s and Lynne Irvine 34s.

Tomorrow’s run is at Endeavour Oval. Distance wise the lap distance is 2.5km and you have the option to complete 1 to 4 laps. Also putting out a reminder, that we are still operating under COVID-19 regulations. On Wednesday’s, timing begins at 4pm and will cease at 5:15pm. On Sunday’s, you must start between 8.30am and 9am. On both days still encouraging members to arrive, run and depart.

June 20th – Spring Creek
June 27th – Lake Canobolas 

The safety guideline for this week is when you have finished your run, please move well away from the finish line area. This is to avoid any possible collisions with others who are finishing and may be finishing at speed. Parents are asked to advise their children accordingly. 

Race briefs/announcements/presentations are still cancelled– this will instead be done via email and on the Facebook page.
