Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club held its weekend run at Jack Brabham Park in cold and blustery conditions, where 65 members had the choice of 1-5 laps of a flatter 1.75km course, run opposite to the regular direction. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:

1 lap – Male: Elliot Bangert (7:20). Female: Lily Bangert (8:56), Rosie Corcoran (16:04), and Josephine and Sally Kitto (29:30).

2 laps – Male: Rikky Bangert (13:55), Noah Lamrock (14:40), and Alistair Merrifield (16:08). Female: Lily Craig (17:30), Alicia Ross (19:02), and Tanya Connolly (19:13).

3 laps – Male: Thomas Dale (20:22), Blake Gleeson (21:29), and Jackson Boucher (23:09). Female: Kerrie Lindsay (30:31), and Anna Daintith (54:01).

4 laps – Male: Daryl Roweth (31:40), Alex Irwin (34:44) and Nicholas Thomas (34:49). Female: Leanne Corcoran (30:39), Alexandra Bailey (31:36), and Kim Jarvis (41:57).

5 laps – Male: Brad Simmons (36:52), Noel Annett (41:57), and Joel Kitto (43:02). Female: Ursula Wilson (42:23), Jane Fairgrieve (51:55).

Congratulations to all who participated, Alexandra Bailey was declared the winner. Fastest lap of the morning belonged to Thomas Dale who clocked a 6:42 for his 2nd lap.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 3 lap handicap event saw 58 competitors take part in pleasant conditions. The fastest men were Rob Whitmill (9:14), Noah Lamrock (10:54) and Rikky Bangert (11:19). The fastest ladies were Usula Wilson (12:33), Hannah Gross (12:36) and Alicia Ross (14:19). Fastest lap of the Elephant Park circuit was clocked by Rob Whitmill at a scorching 2:59. PB’s were achieved by Noah Lamrock (5s), Cameron Ross (13s), Samuel Gross (3s) and Hannah Gross (1s). Harry Dean was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

This Sunday sees the club back at Lake Canobolas, where members will have the opportunity to complete one to four laps of the regular picturesque, mixed-surface 2.5km circuit. This will commence at 9am. Please note that for winter the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start.
