Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekly Sunday Morning Run at Clergate, where 70 members had the choice of 3km, 5km, and 10km runs on an undulating, unsealed course. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:

3km – Men: Logan Whiteley (13:58), Lachlan Ross (17:21), and Rory McIntosh (17:24). Women: Alicia Ross (17:24), Rebecca Halls (20:47) and Denise Quinlan (29:27).

5km – Men: Mitchell Williamson (16:11), Jackson Boucher (21:19), and Alistair Merrifield (21:44).  Women: Nicole Williamson (20:24), Liz Simpson (20:58), and Ella Lamrock (23:47).

10km – Men: Iain McLean (40:42), Noel Annett (44:51) and Daryl Roweth (45:43). Women: Alexandra Bailey (49:59), Kim Jarvis (59:59), and Pam Fullgrabe (62:19) .

Congratulations to all who participated, Greg Quinn was declared the winner.

The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 3 lap handicap event saw 41 competitors take part in bitterly cold and blustery conditions. The fastest men were Mitch Williamson (9:24), Jack Daintith (11:29) and Alistair Merrifield (11:49). The fastest ladies were Ella Lamrock (12:47), Emily Pearson (13:29) and Leanne Billington (13:53). Fastest lap of the Elephant Park circuit was clocked by Mitch Williamson at 3:05. A PB was achieved by Leanne Billington (6s). Renai McArdle was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.

This Sunday sees the club back at Charles Sturt University (Orange), where members will have a choice of 1-5 laps of a hilly, sealed 1.6km route. This event will commence at 9am. There will also be the monthly trail run departing at 6:45am, from the intersection of Mitchell’s Way and Cargo Road on a 13km out and back route up Mt Canobolas – mandatory equipment is required, check the website for further details and maps. Please note that for winter the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start.
