40 odd runners enjoyed the pleasant conditions at the Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 9 August. Pity we had to change from Kinross Lane, but we will try to get back there before logging starts in October, if the road surface is repaired.

In September the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is having an awareness and fundraising event – a challenge to run 72km over the month, and it would be good if the ORC could enter a team (or two). More details soon, or at The Long Run website.

Also, the City 2 Surf, postponed to October 18 this year, is now to be a ‘virtual’ run. Entrants will run 14km in a location of their own choosing. We’ll include a 14km run in the club run that Sunday, so our members may ‘virtually’ do the C2S this year. Medals will be mailed out to runners that have registered with the C2S.

Our ‘usual’ Wednesday run today, 12 August, starting after 4.00pm and timing closing at 5.15pm. On Sunday, 16 August, we’re at Shiralee.

Please arrive, run and leave, in accordance with our COVID plan and, if possible, wear a mask before and after your run.
