Last Sunday morning at Birralee Road Forest it was a cool start but the runners soon warmed up as they set off up the little hill. In the 8.1km men’s run, it was a repeat of the previous weekend’s result in the 10km with the same finishing order, just slightly bigger gaps between them when they finished. Mitch Essex (36:17) ran down runaway leader Anthony Daintith, with Daryl Roweth, not too far away in third. Of the girls Sue Dean (36:25) again led the way and pushed Mitch all the way to the finish. Not far behind Sue was Amber Rich, who also ran well to finish clear of Leanne Corcoran in 3rd spot.

In the 4k Lily Craig (20:15) was the fastest as she beat home Alison Spurway and the amazing Josephine Kitto. Wayne Stewart (20:49) was the fastest of the men over the 4k finishing ahead of Martin Ryan and Bill Fairgrieve. Overall handicap winner was Josephine’s mum Sally Kitto who also did the 4k.

Ninety Runners enjoyed the warmer Wednesday afternoon temperature as they did their laps around Elephant Park with Mark Chapman leading the charge with the fastest run for the night a 10:57. Among some outstanding performances Rachel Blanch ran a strong 14:45 to be this week’s overall winner. Thomas Lloyd backed up his performance last week when he was the overall winner to again run a 17s personal best while clocking a 13:01. Another to perform well was Ursula Wilson, who has been seen recently circulating around Riawena Oval some afternoons. She ran a great 13:08 which is a 50second improvement in her last three Wednesday runs.
