Thorley stops clock first at Gosling Creek

Tomorrow will see some of the club head out to Forbes for the Forbes Charity fun run with 5k and 10k runs available for the keen runners and a more sociable 2k for the walkers and the little ones. (You can still enter on the day between 7am & 8.30am)  At home for those who don’t venture out to Forbes, Jack Brabham will be the place to be, for anything from 1 to 4 laps (7k).

Last Sunday saw 66 runners and walkers out at Gosling Creek doing their thing with Luke Thorley leading the way completing the 4.6k run in 21:28 to pick up the overall win.

Fastest runner over the 4.6k was Nathan Sutherland (18:31), while the consistent Amber Rich was the quickest female (20:21). Mitchell Cooper again was out fast to win the 2.3k in 10:03 while Emily Pell took the ladies win in 12:31.Brad Simmons ran away with the 9.6k completing this in 39:47 to lead home the 21 runners doing long run. Naomi Sunderland with a 53:17 was the quickest of the girls. It was great to see Craig Penrose extending himself on the longer run and finishing in the top half of the field.

2.3km Female: Emily Pell, Megan Coulson-Knight, Aimee Coulson-Knight;

2.3km Male: Mitchell Cooper, Liam Coulson-Knight, Greg Pell;

4.6km Female: Amber Rich, Suzanne Coulson-Knight, Karen Neal;

4.6km Male: Nathan Sutherland, Jack Daintith, Kyle Ostini;

9.6km Female: Naomi Sunderland, Ella Lamrock, Jane Fairgrieve;

9.6km Male: Brad Simmons, Joel Kitto, Phil Craney.

On Wednesday night over 100 people tackled the 3 lap run against the clock, with Mark Chapman just getting under the 11minutes and being the fastest recorded. Joanne Locke ran a strong 14:26 to be the overall winner. Great PB’s were recorded by Louise Lloyd 20s & Lachlan Simmons 29s which are great improvements.
